Meet Dr. Robinson Herrera
Brittany Robinson Herrera, Ph.D.
Dr. Robinson earned her Bachelor’s degree from Yale University and then completed her graduate work at Emory University and clinical internship at Columbia University Medical Center. After attaining her doctoral degree, Dr. Robinson served on the faculty of Hawai’i Pacific University’s Department of Psychology in Honolulu, Hawaii, and later Mercer University’s Psychology Doctoral Program in Atlanta, Georgia. She currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Emory University in a consultation role focusing on the longitudinal effects of perinatal exposure to psychiatric medications and maternal psychopathology.
Clinically, Dr. Robinson Herrera has helped clients navigate a variety of diagnoses and difficulties, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, significant life transitions, relational conflicts, and general life distress. She practices from various modalities of treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Trauma-Focused Therapies (TFTs), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and tailors these modalities to each client given their individual needs.
